James Makes it Purdy

I directed this video for Disneyland & Disney World, both of which will be open for 24 hours straight on 2.29.12.

Really proud of how this turned out, and all of the incredible work everyone involved did on the project.

Shot by James Codeglia and Will Carnahan. Edited by Whit Scheidegger. Music and sound design by Alfred Montejano. Color correction by Phil Dennison. Intro titles by Mike Ashton.

Real proud of this one. I shot half the footage (Disneyworld) but Matt is the genius behind it.

“Hahaha… escalator.”

I directed this video that DigiSynd produced with Disney Parks. Cinematography, editing and VFX by James Codeglia. VFX and camera assistance by Whit Scheidegger. Song remix and sound design by Alfred Montejano. Produced by Thomas Wadsworth and David Guertin.

I’m up for a directing gig and was asked to show how I portray men being skittish. So I present you this very introspective proof-of-concept starring Sean Bury and Clint Gage that we did this afternoon. Shot by James Codeglia.

This is one of my favorite sketches that we’ve done in awhile. Mostly because I love bloody faces.

Brothers In Arms

A heartbreaking tale of war and death and family and we’re pretty sure we don’t know what “heartbreaking” means.

(From the powers of Team Tiger Awesome.)

Hey friends, Check out our latest sketch we did with Cracked.com, just in time for the Holiday.  Matt Wyatt did a fantastic job guest directing this.  James Codeglia shot the hell out of this and he also did the VFX.  Special thanks to Phil Dennison for the Color Correction and Elliot Barker for all areas sound.

Share!

Had a fantastic time directing this (and road-tripping / hiking to and from the location).  Really great work by everyone involved.

Everything about this is great, and I think this might be my favorite Truly performance.

Other than when he officiated my wedding.

Thanks to Matt Wyatt and Team Tiger Awesome for asking me to shoot this. SEQUEL!

Had a great time shooting this with the amazing Scott Gairdner and the team at Funny or Die.

New video!! I finally got to make a tribute to my favorite genre: safety videos that play before theme park rides. We were lucky enough to get the amazing Patrick Warburton (actual host of Disneyland’s Soaring Over California!

I can’t say enough about what a great job Josh Martin did producing this thing. Also major credit is due to Tony Swansey and Colin Blake, who built the rollercoaster, and James Codeglia (himself a legitimate Disneyland DP), who shot it. And thanks to everybody who hauled out to a strange movie ranch in Malibu to shoot this thing.

So buckle up and enjoy the pre-ride entertainment for everyone’s favorite coaster, Zero Gravity Gulch.

Roller Coaster Safety with Patrick Warburton

Before you ride this seemingly safe roller coaster, sheriff Patrick Warburton has a few simple instructions for you.

Well, this is just fantastic.  Great Job Scottie.  Can we call you Scottie from now on?

Do not pull the red strap.

So good!

Updated the reel.

Shot this with an incredible group of filmmakers. Thanks to them, credited below, especially driector Matt Wyatt, AC Brad Conlin, my brother Dave, and Zadi Diaz. This was too fun for words.

scottgairdner:

This is really excellent. That shot of them leaving the castle is so kick-ass, it feels too cool to have happened in real life. And lifting the sword!!

Here’s the video that I directed and DigiSynd produced for the opening of Star Tours at Disneyland.

A fantastic group of incredibly talented people made this video possible, and I am extremely proud of them and grateful to have been able work with them / be part of this project.

Cinematography, editing and visual effects by James Codeglia.  Visual effects and assistant direction by Dave Codeglia.  Camera assistance, expert focus-pulling and production support by Brad Conlin.  Music composed by Alfred Montejano.  End titles by Whit Scheidegger.  Assistant direction and production support by Zadi Diaz.  Disneyland management and production support by Thomas Wadsworth.

I had such a great time on this shoot. It’s nice to be able to say, “…like that time that we shot Vader in Haunted Mansion.”

Remember when Matt directed Darth Vader? At DISNEYLAND?! This was that time.

Also, when Vader has that Mickey Mouse balloon… fantastic.

Shot this video for Whitfield Henry’s version of The King’s Speech. Enjoy!
